Sometime back I got HP Zbook Studio G5 laptop. It is a decent hexacore machine with NVidia P1000 GPU. Unfortunately, functional keys like brightness control were not working on Ubuntu 18.04 (or any other Linux due to bug in BIOS).
Finally, on November 8th 2019 HP released new BIOS update and the problem is resolved. It's been almost a year.
